DERMAPLANING

Dermaplaning is a skin treatment that uses an exfoliating blade to skim dead skin cells and hair from your face. It also removes “peach fuzz,” the short, soft hairs on your face. Dermaplaning can be used for any skin type.

Dermaplaning provides an effective and safe exfoliation treatment that promotes deeper product penetration, boosting the effects of skin care products while making the skin look and feel smoother. It is also beneficial for reducing the appearance of acne scars.

What can Dermplaning Facial Treatments do for you?

Dead skin cells build up on your skin over time, blocking pores. So you may find you’ve been experiencing breakouts, or you have dull looking skin.

Dermaplaning is perfect for you if you’d like brighter looking skin and to improve your overall skin health and appearance.

Dermaplaning is a deep exfoliation treatment that uses a sterile medical grade scalpel to safely remove the dead skin cells on the surface of the skin, together with the vellus hairs on the face. You’ll be left with clear, fresh and glowing skin after your treatment.

This is the perfect treatment to have before your skin peel or microneedling as it primes the skin for treatment and enables the products to be better absorbed.

Is it safe ?

Dermaplaning is safe for virtually everyone. However, you should avoid it if you have a tan, sunburn, active acne, a flaring rosacea breakout, or an inflammatory skin condition such as eczema or psoriasis,

What happens in treatment?

The treatment starts with a thorough cleanse and removal of make up. We then need to ensure the skin is as sterile as possible so we wipe over with a medical grade solution.

The dermaplaning process only takes about 10-15 minutes and we work round the face in a clockwise pattern.

We then need to clean the dead skin cells off the face so we apply an enzyme peel

It is here that we can then add a hydrating mask and/or LED light therapy or even a chemical peel or mesotherapy depending on what your skin requires.

The treatment is finished with a soothing balm and SPF.
